Dream Channels privacy policy

Operator: Jesse Eldridge, an individual. Contact: dreamchannelhq@gmail.com. Updated October 6, 2026 (America/Chicago).

Who uses the application

Dream Channels is an owner-operated desktop command-line tool for Jesse's own YouTube channels. It has no public signup. Google authorization is used only for channels the operator controls.

Access and use of Google and YouTube data

The tool requests YouTube management access to support authorized uploads, metadata, playlists, thumbnails and supported channel profile changes. It requests read-only YouTube Analytics access to check aggregate channel views. It reads channel identity, title, metadata, branding, status and content details, and relevant video or playlist metadata when preparing or verifying an operation. These reads check the intended channel, preserve existing values and verify operator-requested changes.

The current Analytics check requests aggregate views for a 28-day period. It retains the date range, whether rows were returned and the row count; it does not retain the returned view totals. Data is not used for advertising, sold, or used to train artificial-intelligence models.

Local storage and access

OAuth client secrets and channel refresh tokens are stored in a protected local credential store. Short-lived access tokens are used in process memory. Local channel configuration retains the verified permanent channel identity and verification time. Local audit records retain channel identifiers, titles, timestamps, authorization and verification status, and operation results such as resource identifiers. Reviewed plans can include relevant metadata and local asset fingerprints.

Selected nonsecret verification records have also been copied into a private source-control repository. Source-control history and backups may contain earlier copies. The operator is responsible for reviewing those copies when handling retention or deletion. Access is limited to the operator and authorized development assistance needed to maintain the tool. Google and YouTube receive authorization requests and the data needed to perform requested API operations.

Retention and deletion

Retention is an operator-managed procedure. There is currently no automatic expiry or purge mechanism. Before relying on retained API data, the operator must refresh or delete it within 30 days. A deletion or access-revocation request must be handled within seven days, including applicable local records, private repository copies and backups. These deadlines describe the required manual procedure; they do not assert that an automated process exists or that historical copies have already been reconciled.

Clearing a local refresh token does not revoke Google's grant or erase retained configuration and audit records. The tool also supports requesting revocation from Google. Revocation may affect other channel authorizations for the same app and account. Deleting local data does not delete uploaded videos or other channel content from YouTube; those require a separate owner-authorized YouTube action.

You can review or revoke Google access using Google Account permissions. To request deletion of application-held data, email dreamchannelhq@gmail.com. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

This public information website

These pages contain no JavaScript, cookies, external assets, forms or analytics. They do not receive application credentials or channel records. The hosting provider may process normal connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs, under its own policies. Emailing the operator sends the information you choose to include through your email provider.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected in this policy's update date. Expanded use or a public service would require a review of authorization, data handling and these policies before launch.
